Job Title: Assessor - Training Assessment/ Quality Assurance (TAQA)

Salary: From £11,407 - £13,714 per annum (actual salary)

Contract: MC Teaching Support, Part Time, Fixed Term until October 2024 (0.5 FTE)

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays (pro rata)

Pension: NEST Pension Scheme

About the College

  • Middlesbrough College is the largest General Further Education College in the Tees Valley and has been situated in Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, since 2008. It has developed from the initial main site to the vibrant campus that is now in place with our Campus Heart, dedicated Sixth Form, STEM Centre, Higher Education Centre, and further development for our apprentices in progress.

About the role

The assessor for Training Assessment/ Quality Assurance (TAQA)

The successful candidate will work closely with the Programme lead for TAQA/AET to support the success or learners studying assessing and education & training courses. This will include working with diverse learners within a variety of sectors across the North-East.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum Level 3 TAQA/A1/CAVA or equivalent
  • L4 TAQA or equivalent (or to be willing to work towards)
  • Previous experience in assessing skills and behaviours within work-based/educational environments.
  • To commit to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults within the College.
