Job description
We are pleased to be looking for a trainee yardman to work with our client based in Fengate, they are a well established and respected company in the area.
We are looking for one additional candidate to join their team working days (07:30 to 17:30) in the busy yard of a factory where they are cutting and bending heavy metals.
This is a fast paced environment, you will be required to learn on the job and have a good understanding of health and safety and the machines around you.
PPE is provided however you will need to supply your own safety boots and high vis vest.
The ideal candidate needs to have experience in the industry, a good understanding of health and safety as well as a willingness to learn about the forklift vehicles in operation.
You will need strong attention to detail and a good work ethic.
Key Information
- Day shifts
- 07:30 - 17:30
- 16:00 finish on a Friday
- £10.50 per hour for 40 hours, time and a half for additional (plus)
- Overtime rate for Saturday and Sunday shifts (up to triple time)
- Immediate start
- Some lifting involved
- £60 full attendance bonus
As this is a steel working yard there is a high noise level however ear protection is provided.
