SMS is one of the UK’s leading independent Water Hygiene specialists, driving the evolution of the Water Treatment field with innovation and best practice to ensure the safety of the people in the communities we serve.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Trainee Water Treatment Engineer to join our Field Services team. This role is key to ensuring all pre-planned maintenance is completed. All training for this role will be provided, as well guidance and support from our experienced supervisors. This role is field based with travel required around Sheffield and the West Midlands areas. There may be a requirement to travel further afield - depending on business need.
Role and responsibilities:
● Cleaning and disinfection of showers
● Checking and cleaning water tanks and systems
● Carrying out TMV checks and maintenance
● Checking and disinfection of calorifiers
● Completing all work on in house software using an iPad
Key Skills and Experience:
● Experience working on water systems in buildings or with water qualifications
● Strong verbal communication skills, with ability to build customer relationships
● The ability to work as part of a team, as well as on their own
● The ability to use IT equipment such as and iPad and Mobile Phone
● Excellent time-keeping
There are some requirements that are needed to take up this post:
● Full UK Driving licence - Essential
Applicants must be able to provide evidence of their Right to Work in the UK.
All roles at SMS require a DBS check; SMS Environmental will cover the cost of this if you do not already hold a valid DBS certificate.
