Due to continued success, we are recruiting for a Trainee Terminal Operative to work at our Traffic Park Rail Terminal in Manchester.

The role:

• Face to face dealings with drivers, booking both loaded and empty units in and out of the terminal
• Adding both train arrivals and departures to the system
• Dealing with yard operations over a 2-way radio
• Dealing with customers both on the telephone and by email
• Chasing down units to rail to maximise the train capacity, ensuring no wagons go out empty.
• Administrative duties – checks carried out to try and capture any mistakes that may have occurred and correcting these before any credit notes are required.
• Liaising with our transport team

What we’re looking for:

• IT literate – confident using computers as it’s an office based role
• Confident communicator – spoken and written
• Hard working
• Highly organised
• Team player
