What can you expect?
Capital Law adopts a hands-on approach across all aspects of its work experience offerings. On a six-month rotation, you’ll work with a range of teams and lawyers, ensuring a high level of experience, across sectors, working on complex cases, underpinned by support from us, in each of the following areas of law:
- Commercial Disputes
- Corporate & Commercial
- Real Estate
- Employment & Immigration
We will endeavour where possible to place individuals into an area of preference, however, cannot guarantee this.
You can expect the experience to be varied, informative but most importantly of value to you. You will be assigned a ‘buddy’ from within the firm, as well as a supervisor from the area of law you are placed in for each seat. In addition to the work you will be doing within the team, there will be a range of workshops, group activities, presentations, networking events giving you exposure to engage with colleagues across the firm at all levels.
Who can apply?
If you’ve started your third year of university, GDL or LPC, or in a position to study via the SQE route and would like to apply, please submit your CV and covering letter via the Capital Law website.
If you’re looking for an experience where your ideas are welcomed, and the chance to make a good impression with Capital Law whilst enhancing your legal skillset, we’d like to hear from you. You will need to be within commutable distance to our Cardiff office for the duration of the training contract. Whilst we are committed to hybrid working, we understand the need for our trainees to work alongside our solicitors in person as much as possible; for better learning and supervision.
Please ensure you attach both cover letter and CV in your application (you will need to save it as one document to upload), we look forward to reading them!
Applications will close at Midnight on Friday 1st December 2023, we will not be able to accept any after this date.
