Job description
- Supporting the Corporate legal team in its work with all parts of the Travelers Europe businesses, with emphasis on support for the underwriting teams both at Lloyd's and in the UK-based insurance company, in connection with insurance and reinsurance matters.
- Identifying and mitigating legal risk in various parts of the business. Advising on, implementing and where appropriate, managing various internal controls.
- Drafting, amending and advising on certain legal documents.
- Assisting where necessary with the resolution of regulatory matters and corporate initiatives.
- Researching legal precedents and principles and advising accordingly.
- Providing general support to the Travelers enterprise working collaboratively with other members of the Travelers legal teams worldwide.
- Maintaining awareness of legal environment through reading of legal publications, on-line resources, and attendance at seminars and conferences.
- Assisting with the preparation of agendas, board packs and all relevant materials for board and committee meetings, and taking minutes where required.
- Assisting with maintaining a comprehensive documents library comprising relevant corporate governance documents, internal control policies and Solvency II related documents.

- Law degree or Bachelors degree with law conversion

- Private Medical Insurance: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.
- Retirement: Travelers will make a basic contribution of 9% of pensionable salary to your Group Personal Pension Plan (“GPPP”). If you decide to contribute an additional amount from your salary, you will receive an increased company contribution up to a maximum of 3%. This would bring the total company contribution to 12%.
