Advert Text
We provide a wide range of legal services to the London Boroughs of Merton, Richmond, Sutton, Wandsworth and Royal Borough of Kingston, making us the largest local authority shared legal service in the country. As such, we are able to offer employment opportunities across all aspects of local government legal work. We take pride in offering a high quality and proactive legal service, bringing all the insight that being an in-house service involves and combining that with commercial expertise and a breadth of experience smaller teams may not be able to offer. Welcome to SLLP www.join-sllp.com
We are based in South West London and our team can work out of any of 5 locations as well as remotely - agile working has been business as usual for a long time in SLLP. We have a wide range of flexible working options and have developed a number of health and well-being initiatives over the years.
We are delighted to be able to offer 3 trainee contracts. Our service is divided into 3 main teams covering a whole range of litigation and regulatory functions, commercial, planning and property work and social care and education. You will get the opportunity to learn about aspects of law you perhaps never realised existed, all of which are aimed at helping our local councils serve their residents better. And of course we will ensure that you are able to get a broad enough experience in all those aspects required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
What we offer
We are committed to promoting equality and respecting diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
We are a Disability Confident Employer – committed to ensuring that our recruitment and selection process is inclusive and accessible.
We offer excellent training opportunities, generous annual leave entitlement and the option of joining the local authority pension scheme.
If you are longlisted, you will be asked to attend an assessment centre on 14 September 2023 and, if successful there, to attend a final interview in the week beginning 25 September
