Job description
We are a small flooring company looking for someone who is fun and personable to help work in our warehouse and learn the ways of the flooring world.
For the right candidate the job will start with learning the warehouse and learning how deliveries are dealt with and organised, ready for the next days work. This is a great way to learn what products we sell and what goes into a flooring job.
An average day would consist of unloading deliveries some of which would be large pieces of carpet which would need to unloaded by hand. Some of the smaller products we sell come on pallets which are then wheeled into our warehouse.
Another important part of this roll is checking off what has come in against our paperwork to make sure everything is correct and alert us to any problems.
If the applicant holds a full driving license then we may look into sending them out on small deliveries in our van or dropping things to a fitter in need.
If the applicant does well in this area we could look to train them as a salesperson too and further their career.
This would entail helping members of the public when selecting flooring, answering the phone and learning the computer system to order flooring and organise jobs.
