Who we’re looking for:

A trainee or junior reporter to work in our busy London patch – while also part of our wider news teams across the UK.

You will be involved in finding, researching and writing national news stories under the guidance of our experienced news editors. We also carry out commissioned work for national titles.

The reporter would get out from behind their desk, speak to real people face-to-face and on the phone. They also utilise digital tools and social media to source and verify stories.

The role:

Successful candidate will have the flexibility of working from home. A driving license and car is useful but not essential.

An NCTJ qualification or similar along with shorthand is the minimum for a trainee.

A junior reporter would also have this but also some experience on a local title, website or equivalent.

Social media skills are a must. You should know your way around all the platforms – and how to use them to source stories.
