Job description
This is a training role within the Child and Young Persons Improving Access To Psychological Therapies Programme (CYP-IAPT). The post-holder will work within the MHST as part of the Mindworks School Based Need team providing therapies whilst undertaking a programme of training in an evidence-based therapy for this role. This intensive training post will equip the postholder to provide evidence-based interventions based NICE Guideline recommended treatment and on CYP-IAPT core principles of accessibility, accountability, participation, awareness and evidence-based practice to provide an inclusive and effective service for children and young people. The post-holder will work in the service for at 3-4 days of the week using the newly developed skills whilst attending the training programme at KCL for the remaining 1-2 days. The post holder will hold an appropriate training case load for the course and work with Children Young people and families with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunitiesand inclusive, non-discriminatory practice.
