A growing main contractor in Kent is currently in the market for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join the business. This is a great opportunity to gain invaluable experience working alongside a team of experienced professionals.

As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors to develop your skills and knowledge in all aspects of quantity surveying. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Conducting material take-offs and preparing bills of quantities.
- Collaborating with project teams to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assisting in the valuation of works, variations, and final accounts.
- Conducting research and analysis to support cost planning and value engineering efforts.
- Assisting in the preparation of progress reports and financial statements.
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of Construction experience ideally in Surveying.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard quantity surveying software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning and professional development.
- A valid driver's license and the willingness to travel to various project sites.
