Trainee Quantity Surveyor
Permanent monthly Contract – Full time immediate start

The Role: A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute individual to join our current team of Quantity Surveyors in a trainee role.
The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office in Blackpool and will work alongside the Quantity Surveyors on projects in the North West Region.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:-
- Assisting Quantity Surveyors in the estimating procedure
- Gather and analyse subcontractors quotes and support the process of placing orders
- Support the Quantity Surveyors in the process of Cost and Value reconciliation and in the preparation of reports
- Support process of measures, re-measures and substantiation for valuations
- Support the Quantity Surveyors in the extension of time/programme issues in respect of financial claims
- Support the Quantity Surveyors in the maintenance of subcontractors accounts, including issue of relevant certificates
- Client liaison involving support in the settlement of final accounts.

- Demonstrate clear commercial awareness
- Able to works as part of a team focussed on producing a quality project
- To be self motivated with the ability to use and work under own initiative
- The ability to respond promptly to external and internal demands
- To carry out all work with pride, professionalism and expertise
- Computer literate
- Construction experience is desirable
Qualifications:
- A levels or Level 3 equivalent qualification
- HNC Level 4 in Construction and the Built Environment is desirable
Salary will be set depending on the skills and competencies of the successful candidate as outlined at interview.
