Job description
Dandara Living is recruiting a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join the Bristol branch of our build-to-rent division.
Monday to Friday
42.5 hours per week
About the role
The successful Trainee Quantity Surveyor will be based on our Plot 4 Bristol development, consisting of 295 stunning apartments, with blocks ranging from 4 to 16 stories.

What you will do:
- General project coordination and administration
- Support in the preparation and negotiation of initial site budgets and subcontract tender documents
- Support in obtaining risk assessments, method statements and safety documentation from subcontractors
- Support in undertaking site visits and inspections and coordinate with contractors on site
- Attending sub-contract pre-order meetings and attending regular project review meetings
- Supporting in the preparation of monthly cost reports to ensure cost control throughout the development programme and provision of continuous financial advice throughout to the Site Management team
What you will have:
Essential
- Commitment and drive to study and complete the Construction Quantity Surveying Technician Apprenticeship. This is a Level 4 (HNC equivalent) 3 year 1 day a week course with Weston College.
- Available for a course start date of September 2023
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths, English and a Science; or a Level 2 Apprenticeship
- Good Microsoft 365 skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills and people skills
- UK driving license and access to your own vechile
