Job Title: Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners

Length and Type of Contract: Training contract (12 months) moving to permanent contract on successful completion of all training requirements.

Hours per week: 37 .5 hours per week (full time)

Salary: Band 4

Manager: Locality manager TBC after location designation

Based at: Locality bases across Coventry, Rugby and Warwickshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join the Healthy Mind Service delivered by Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust and Coventry & Warwickshire Mind. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established service that continues to offer high quality; evidence based psychological interventions for our identified populations.The posts are for theCoventry and Rugby, North Warwickshire, South Warwickshire and CW Mind IAPTteams.

The PWP trainee programme is a 12-month qualification, delivered by Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust in partnership with Mind Coventry and Warwickshire. The programme combines both academic and work-based learning through close collaboration between CWPT, Mind and a University provider.

Successful applicants will need to commit to the academic requirements of the course.

During placement the post holder will, with appropriate levels of supervision, deliver clinical interventions, undertake necessary directed learning, maintain a Clinical Practice Portfolio, participate in clinical and case management supervision and service-related meetings, and training as required.

This is a training role within the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (IAPT). The post-holder will work within the IAPT service providing high volume low intensity interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. The training post will equip the post – holder to provide a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self- management interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. The post- holder will attend all taught and self-study days required by the education provider, as specified within National Low Intensity curriculum and work in the service for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills.

The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
