An opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and motivated individual to train as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. The successful candidate will study for a professional training in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions, which is a cornerstone qualification for working in Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services.

The training is delivered jointly between Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT), Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) and the University of Birmingham (UoB).If shortlisted, you will be required to attend an academic selection with the University of Birmingham (UoB). This will take place between 20th - 21st of June 2023. If successful at the academic selection, Sandwell Healthy Minds will contact you to arrange an interview. Our planned interview dates are between the 5th and 6th of July 2023.

In this role, the post holder will be required to attend at least 1 day teaching, undertake 1 day of self-directed study and provide 3 days of clinical practice per week from our base at the White heath Medical Centre. Please note, teaching days are subject to change, as they are set by the University of Birmingham, based on their teaching timetable.

The post holder will be offering assessment and low intensity treatment to patients presenting with common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety. The post holder will receive appropriate support throughout their training journey.

Assessment process:

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an academic assessment with the University of Birmingham between 20th - 21st of June 2023. Full details of this will be sent to you directly by the university.Candidates that are successful at the assessment stage will then be invited to an interview with their chosen service between the 5th - 6th of July 2023.Those who successfully pass the academic assessment will be sent an invite to interview one week prior.

Person specification
Education Qualification

Essential criteria
Psychology or other related undergraduate degree for postgraduate route or at least 2 A levels or Equivalent (such as NVQ3) for undergraduate route

Experience
Essential criteria
At least 12 months direct clinical experience of working with people who have common mental health problems or 3 years part-time voluntary experience with a relevant charity.
Demonstrates high standards in written communication
Able to write clear reports and letters

Desirable criteria
Experience of working in Primary Care services
Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
Ability to manage own caseload and time
Evidence of working in local community

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £23,949.00-£26,282.00 per year
