Job description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an organised, efficient and proactive Trainee Property Assistant who has a willingness to learn with usExecutive Property Management Solutions.

This role is to help oversee the daily operations of a property management department by assisting the current team of Property Managers

This is a great opportunity to join a lively, friendly team and carve a career path. The chosen candidate will need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and a strong work ethic is key! Previous experience in Facility Management or Property Management is favourable.

This position is home-based so a dedicated workspace within your home is essential for this role (A computer/Laptop can be provided). The chosen candidate must ensure that their internet speed is at an acceptable level to achieve the optimal workable environment.

Full-time 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 9am -5pm

£18,000-£20,500 per annum

Part Time- hours to be discussed and salary on a pro rata basis.

Ideally the candidate will start ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with landlords and tenants and provide a first-class service.
  • Assisting Property Managers with tasks where required
  • Commission necessary maintenance, renovation and refurbishment work required..
  • Sourcing contractors and co-ordinating maintenance works
  • Ensuring gas and electrical checks are undertaken in a timely and compliant manner, along with any remedial works if required
  • Co-ordinating matters between landlords and tenants
  • Ensuring emails are answered to in a timely fashion by ensuring they have the skills to manage their workload independently.
  • Processing contractor invoices.
  • Answering phones and message taking where appropriate.
  • Sending and answering questions related to routine property inspections
  • To carry out any ad hoc duties assigned by and Daily/Weekly online meetings with the line manager.

· Collecting payments by telephone

  • Booking check in’s, check out’s and inspections
  • Complete all administrative functions, ensuring the accuracy of landlord and tenant information, billing, and payment details

Skills of a Trainee Property Assistant:

· Proactive, hard-working and flexible

· Ability to work independently and on own initiative, and at times under pressure

· Must be able to multi-task

· Willingness to learn

· Excellent verbal and written skills, negotiation skills and phone manner

· Interest in Property/lettings

· Basic/Intermediate level of Word, Microsoft Outlook and Excel Packages.
