Trainee Project Manager

Department - Operations, Diss Head Office

Salary - £21,000

Overview of role

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for standard product projects from point of sales release through to completion of installation.
  • Liaise with the client in person, via telephone and written communication to ensure they are always up to date on project progress.
  • Liaise with other Glazing Vision departments and suppliers.
  • Liaise with logistics and installation teams to ensure transport and resource is allocated to projects as required.
  • Updating various data repositories with progress of projects, including Glazing Visions inhouse system and individual project tracking documents.
  • Ensure payment terms are adhered to by the client.
  • Attend sites for meetings or measure service requirements.
  • Highlight shortfalls of deliverables to the Operations Manager and other key team members.
  • Ensure variations to projects are correctly instructed, costed and actioned.
  • Raise and issue manufacturing packs to the procurement and production teams.
  • Work to the company’s high standards at all times, ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met.
  • Prepare general and project specific RAMS if required.
  • Assist in the development of new processes to improve departmental and company output.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications required.

  • Self-disciplined and highly organised
  • A high level of initiative, motivation and ability to independently problem solve
  • Prior experience in project management or relevant field is beneficial
  • strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members and customers
