Job description
Duties:
Ø Assist in the modification of current production lines in order to set up new lines, by examining and designing processes which enable us to assemble products.
Ø Check new equipment to ensure that it conforms to all appropriate standards and specifications’ prior to production trials.
Ø Work with Production Engineers to schedule production trials for new equipment, coordinating machine usage with required operation time to meet production targets.
Ø Assist with trials of new machinery and equipment, programming machine operation parameters for successive trials and recording data.
Ø Document optimal machine operating parameters for specific tooling and translate to engineering and quality control standards, specifications and operating procedures.
Ø Assist with capacity analysis of all processes to determine production capabilities.
Ø Develop additional knowledge and skill in evaluating tooling, equipment and machinery also analyzing processes.
Ø Analyze blueprints, engineering specifications and prototype parts to determine fixtures and equipment required for manufacture of new products and to plan sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble new products.
Ø Develop process documents for production and assembly of new products.
Ø Analyze plant layout, workforce utilization, production costs and other data to suggest recommendations for the reallocation of space to improve efficiency.
Ø Assist in the development of standard production engineering documentation and process documents.
Ø Undertake any other reasonable duties, as deemed appropriate in this role.
Requirements:
Ø Basic knowledge of the principles of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering.
Ø Some knowledge of the principles of electricity/electronics, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Ø Computer literacy and basic understanding on how to operate computer controlled machinery and equipment.
Ø Basic understanding on how to interpret blueprints, mechanical and electrical drawings, engineering designs and specifications also operating instructions.
Ø Some knowledge of the operation and maintenance of manufacturing practices and processes also all related documentation.
Ø Some knowledge of the principles and practices of manufacturing administration, including JIT manufacturing theory.
Ø Some knowledge of time studies, line balancing, principles and applications of statistical process control and quality standards in automotive manufacturing.
Ø Ability to prioritize multiple, competing work assignments.
Note: This is an entry-level position, suitable for recent graduates or individuals with limited professional experience in the field. Training will be provided to develop the necessary skills and knowledge for the role.

Salary: £21,231.00-£23,000.00 per year
