Job Title: Trainee Operations Manager
Location: BN24 5BW (On Site)
Salary: £23,000 to £24,500 per year. OTE £30,000 + with company bonus scheme uncapped.
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the branch operational team including service partners and warehouse staff to achieve revenue, margin and contribution targets.
To control and manage the warehouse facility and to ensure accuracy of recording warehouse movements, reporting, and to achieve targeted utilisation (80%) and contribution.
This will be achieved through the efficient planning, monitoring and management of the daily operation. Main Responsibilities:
Planning, monitoring and management of the daily operation.
Complete pre-move call 48 hours prior to each move via ops controllers.
Complete daily crew calls.
Ensue that all job pack are complete and ready for the schedule planned.
Ensue that all jobs’ sheets and documents are completed on completion.
Assist the sales teams with efficient booking of imports and exports.
Run the works diary efficiently and effectively.
Proactively manage people, vehicles and materials required to meet the number of moves planned, including staff levels and holidays.
Investigation of claims and complaints.
Monitor and maintain all transport legislative requirements.
Compliance to branch health & safety requirements.
Managerial and Leadership Skills.
Commercial awareness.
Ability to motivate team and create a can-do environment.
Willing to learn.
Exceptional planning and prioritising skills.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Problem solving skills.
IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, word etc
