Trainee Nurse Associate

Hours: Full time/Minimum of 30 hours. Flexibility would be required to work around the course and placements

Competitive salary: From £10.80 per hour to £11.51 over time

Essential:

  • Has a minimum of GCSE Maths and English at grade 9 to 4 (A to C) or functional skills Level 2 in Maths and English
  • Demonstrable ability to study at Level 5 Diploma of Higher Education level and commit to completing the foundation degree programme

We have this new and exciting opportunity for a Trainee Nurse Associate to join our established team of Practice Nurses & Healthcare Assistants. This is a development role over a 2-year period which combines academic, work-based & work placement learning. On successful completion you will have achieved an equivalent Level 5 Foundation Degree as well as registration by the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).

The post holder will work across all sites. You will develop skills and competencies to support the team to provide treatment room duties involving, but not exhaustive to; flu vaccinations, dressings, phlebotomy, injections, blood pressure monitoring, ECG’s, wound care, health checks, urinalysis of urine samples & assisting registered clinicians in clinics such as Coil and implant fitting. Alongside learning about stock ordering, stock organisation and general administration tasks.

The successful candidate will need to have outstanding communication & time management skills, good IT skills, and be an adaptable team player.

The following would be an advantage:

  • Experience in Care or within a GP Practice
