Countrywide is part of the Connells group, the UK’s largest estate agency and property services business incorporating many well-known high street brands: Hamptons, Abbotts, Bairstow Eves, Taylors Estate Agents, are but a few. The business analysis team is vital in providing timely robust reporting to a wide group of stakeholders to inform of business performance. The team provides a series of reports, both regular and ad hoc, across all our business segments of Sales, Lettings, New Homes & Mortgage Services.
As well as providing business with analysis the team is crucial to ensuring the data quality and integrity and supports the wider finance team with reporting and systems capability.
The role will be based in our head office at Caldecotte Lake Business Park, Milton Keynes but provides flexibility for an element of hybrid working.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Monthly & weekly reporting on both Financial and Statistical performance against budget and forecast
- Be first point of contact for finance and senior managers on financial/KPI and MI queries
- Assist with forecasts models across the business, that are coherent and provide sound starting point for amendment
- Working with the business to understand variances and advise impact on the business
- Support the production and development of KPI information and deal with issues arising as necessary
- Review data for anomalies and flag to the Data team and Business
- Make best use of and support database applications and analytical tools
Position Requirements:
- Experienced in manipulating and analysing data
- Analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience in producing presenting data in a clear format
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders
- Ability to be flexible, work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting interests and deadlines
- Motivated with focus on continuous process improvement
- Ability to use technical software applications
Skills required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data manipulation skills
- Experience or willingness to learn advanced systems skills eg VBA / Macro creation & SQL
