Trainee Medical Photographer
You are invited to apply for the full-time post of Trainee Medical Photographer as part of the Medical Illustration team of Media Services within The University Directorate of Digital & Information Services.

This rare and exciting role will be part of a team that provides a broad range of specialist photographic expertise and support to the University of Aberdeen and NHS Grampian, based at the Foresterhill Campus Medical School. You will undertake both clinical and non-clinical photographic work to support patient clinics and creative/PR requirements across both organisations.
You will be involved in front facing support for clients, creative processes, use and maintenance of portable and studio equipment, print, databasing, handling and processing of sensitive data, and bookings. You will be introduced to the technicalities of medical photography and enrolled onto a UG/PG Cert in medical photography as a distance learning student with Staffordshire University, once sufficient experience has been gained.
The successful candidate will have the responsibility and understanding to observe strict protocols of working with vulnerable groups, while respecting patient privacy, dignity, beliefs, and confidentiality.
We are looking for a suitable person that will integrate well into a small team and have expert attention to detail, be creatively minded, able to work on own initiative, and has excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence required to liaise at all levels. An HND, BA or equivalent experience in photography, and the ability to multi-task whilst working under pressure is essential. Experience of working in a large organisation would be an advantage. You must be competent in using computer applications in either Windows or iOS, Adobe software and be comfortable with the range of technologies used whilst being adaptable.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 4, £25,742 - £29,605 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience.
