Trainee Linesperson - Coatbridge
Your tasks:
- Attend training courses and site activities to become competent to OLEC2 standards.
- Carry out installation of OLE works to OLEC2 standard and as instructed by OLEC3 operatives and supervisors to ensure they are carried out safely and to the required standards.
- Undertake safety critical roles to assist the business needs.
- Ensure that all tools, plant and equipment you are using are in good working order and fit for purpose.
- Ensure you receive and follow briefings from your site managers / supervisors regarding the work to be carried out including the content of risk assessments and method statements.
- Ensure that all environmental issues are adhered to within the Company’s Environmental Awareness and Education Module.
- Comply with the companies Code of Conduct.
- Attend and actively participate in all relevant training required to progress in the role against the training program set by the company.
Your profile:
- Understand the company’s health & safety policy and appreciate the allocated responsibilities.
- Comply with SPL Powerlines UK Company Procedures, legislation and Railway Standards.
- Use the correct tools and equipment for the task.
- Understand their role within the team and as an individual.
- Represent SPL Powerlines UK in a professional manner at all times.
- Valid PTS card is desirable.
- Valid UK driving licence.
