Job description
We are recruiting for a Trainee Lift Engineer to join the team at our London Infrastructure Branch.
You will be able to gain an NVQ within Lift Engineering within an approved timeframe. Working alongside our qualified Lift Engineers you will have the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours that you will gain from our experienced engineers to complete your training.
Ideal candidates will have a mechanical or electrical engineering aptitude, putting safety first. You will have strong interpersonal skills having the ability to communicate effectively with our customers and across all levels of the organisation.
You will be committed to your own personal training and development. We are looking for someone who is keen to actively improve their skills, knowledge and business awareness.
This role is working on the nightshift. The hours are 19:00 - 03:30.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend training session or engage in other learning activities
- Maintain and NVQ portfolio, producing evidence
- Complete an NVQ qualification within the required timescale
- Undertake a range of tasks suited to the current level of training and development
- Attend training and learning events or via distant learning with LEIA
- Complete all work-related documentation accurately
- Understand and comply with policies and procedures
- Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
