More about your role
As part of our Emerging Talent 2023 programme, we are proud to launch our Places Leisure Graduate roles. We are excited to offer four individuals a trainee management role at one of our leisure centres across England. This two-year programme of development will provide an accelerated route into management, offering the graduate insight into the running of our leisure centres. The start date for this role is 18th September 2023.
You'll rotate across different departments within our centre, understanding both the operational and commercial aspects of our business. From time in our member areas such as reception and front of house through to sales, budgeting, and strategic planning you'll get to know the ins and out of what we do whilst benefiting from on-the-job training from your new colleagues. Successful candidates will undertake Mental Health first aider training and if the centre allows pool plant expertise.
You'll become an ambassador for our ethos, creating active places and healthy people, you'll deliver a People First experience for members, making a difference to the lives of those in our communities.
This is a site based role, to be considered you need to be commutable to one of our Places Leisure sites across Dartford, East Suffolk, Epping, Maldon, Newport Pagnell, Norwich, Wellingborough, Wycombe.

More about you
You'll be a recent graduate; our preference is that this is within a leisure or sports discipline. However, we are open to applications from other academic backgrounds where candidates show a passion and interest in the leisure industry. You may have coaching experience or a previous background working in a leisure role.
You'll have a real love for the leisure industry and a passion for the services we deliver. Our ethos will drive you to succeed and be proud to act as an ambassador for Places Leisure. The successful candidate will get stuck in and utilise this opportunity to learn from those around you. You'll be open to challenges and be excited to innovate creative solutions to deliver for our communities.
To be successful in this role you'll be a people person with great communication skills. Your day-to-day role will see you speaking with our members, colleagues and delivery partners and the ability to adapt your style to meet their need is essential. Most importantly this role should excite and intrigue you!
