Job description

We are seeking an ambitious Trainee Lecturer in Art and Design to promote and provide an excellent learning experience which ensures high achievement for all students.

As a striving Trainee Lecturer, you will work closely with all the Curriculum Managers and the Programme Leader/s responsible for the relevant course provision to maintain and develop the curriculum and maintain the excellent results within the Division.

As a Trainee Lecturer A your contact teaching hours, relevant to subject specialism, will increase as you gain in skills and experience.

Your responsibilities will include accurately assessing and monitoring student work and to contribute fully to divisional and College teams including sharing best practice and being involved in developing the curriculum.

You will possess a Degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject, and you will possess or be willing to work towards a PGCE or Certificate in Education. You will have knowledge of contemporary and historical contexts, current issues, trends, theories in Art and Design.

The salary for this post is £20,344 – £25,180.
