Hi everyone
We are looking to appoint some Trainee Lecturers (to be based at Rosebery Ave, Birmingham or Manchester) on Zero Hours Contracts and are hoping you might know some potential suitable candidates within your networks.
Applicants must have a Masters degree and some experience delivering lecture-style content in a learning environment within subjects in the Business department.
The expectation is that candidates will not have significant teaching experience but will have had a taste of delivering content in the style used in higher education and be keen to become an academic. Candidates need to be confident in their delivery style and be passionate about wanting to work in higher education. They must be keen to become an academic member of staff working with students and teaching on our degree programmes delivered in partnership with well-known universities.
The role will require trainee lecturers to deliver teaching and engage in marking with close support from academic mentors (Senior Lecturers). There is more detail in the job description of the role of a trainee lecturer.
It will be a Zero Hours Contract but successful Trainee Lecturers can apply for future permanent roles with us, once successful experience is gained.
The interview will require a demonstration of teaching in a micro-teach on a subject in Business and a subsequent panel interview.
