The Conference and Banqueting Assistants work in a busy environment where no two days are the same. One day you may be looking after business delegates and the next ensuring that someone’s big day is the event, they had dreamed it would be.
A customer facing role means being on show - so smart appearance is important along with a warm welcoming smile as you make our guests feel comfortable and relaxed.

As well as being confident and approachable, commitment, enthusiasm and energy are essential along with excellent communication skills which will enable you to interact with guests, interpret and act on their needs and liaise with others in your team.
What we need from you
Our Conference and Banqueting Assistants are hardworking individuals who can work on their own initiative and are key players in Conference and Banqueting teams.
Our CB team prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in Banquet Event Order. They prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts.
They communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. They respond to and try to fulfil any special banquet event arrangements. They replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation. They monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests while at the same time they maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
As they are the face of the company, we ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Able to do evening and late shifts to do the set ups of rooms for the following event.
Previous experience in a hotel or a large event space is an advantage towards this job.
This position will include shifts working Saturday and/ or Sunday. Additional hours may be required to support the hotel during our busier periods including bank holidays.
