Job description
Woodman Brothers Ltd are one of the leading specialists in supplying and installing external wall facades in the South West.
We are looking for a young, detail-oriented, ambitious Junior Trainee Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in the construction industry.
Roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the lead estimator in preparing accurate and competitive tenders by analysing drawings, specifications and other relevant documents and gathering necessary data such as material and labour costs.
- Learn how to carry out take-offs using Bluebeam software to assist with measures and ordering.
- Requesting material quotes from suppliers.
- Assisting with placing and coordinating material orders ensuring they arrive on site in time.
- General admin.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and pricing changes to provide accurate estimations.
Basic Maths and English skills are essential. Some construction knowledge is preferred but not essential.
Salary will depend on age and experience.
