The role
Information Technology (IT) are seeking to hire an ambitious Trainee IT Network Engineer wishing to enter a career in network engineering.
During the trainee period the successful candidate will undergo training, supported by colleagues in IT. As a Trainee Network Engineer, we will work together to create a training plan with set goals, this will set out the knowledge and skills required to move to the Network Engineer grade over a period of 12-18 months. On successful completion of this programme, you will be confirmed into a full Network Engineer role.
As a Trainee Network Engineer, you will work as part of the networking team to assist with the day-to-day running, maintenance and development of the LAN, WAN and WLAN networking infrastructure.
Although this role is aligned to our Milton Keynes office, we are flexible on location across the UK, with occasional attendance on-site required.
Skills and experience
This role will suit you if you:
- Possess a passion for IT and network engineering, holding a relevant IT qualification
- Adopt a systematic, logical approach to systems development, monitoring and problem investigation
- Have a working knowledge of IT network technologies
- Possess good time management skills and able to prioritise work effectively
