JOB DESCRIPTION

Energystore Ltd, the leading manufacturer and supplier of Graphite Plus Cavity Wall Insulation, are looking to recruit for the positions of Trainee Insulation Technician based in our Northampton plant.

Job purpose

To undergo on the job training for installing cavity wall insulation and loft insulation under the supervision of a carded installer to lead to becoming a fully trained insulation technician.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete on the job training under the supervision of a carded installer for cavity and loft insulation. Typically 6 months training.
  • Follow guidance and instruction from the lead technician, ensuring that all health and safety equipment is in place and procedures followed to assure a safe working environment
  • Following either verbal or written instructions (from the survey) undertaking installation:
  • Following specified drill patterns to drill holes
  • Carrying out flow rate checks on bead and adhesive
  • Filling cavity walls in correct sequence
  • Using the borescope to ensure cavity checks have been completed
  • Repairing and pointing holes with matching mortar
  • Loft insulation is laid to correct specification
  • Completing paperwork and returning to office daily
  • Actively promote and embed energystore’s core values into everyday work practices

Basic salary for this trainee post is £90.00 per day or £12.00 per hour. After a period of typically 6 months there is potential for easily achieving £150 - £200 per day. Energystore will provide trainees with uniforms, tools, and full training.

To be successful in this role you will have an interest or be working in the construction industry.

Requirement for these posts is that the candidates must have a valid driving licence to be able to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle.
