Trainee High Intensity Therapist (CBT)
£35,500 per annum
Homebased with attendance University of Sussex for face to face training sessions (2 days per week) with clinical work completed remotely
Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm (37.5 hours per week)
Course starts on 10th September - 1 full week block training at the start of the service
Interviews will take place virtually on 25th and 27th July 2023

Part of Acacium Group, Xyla Digital Therapies is a growing Primary Care Psychological Therapies service who works with a variety of NHS and non-NHS talking therapies providers nationwide.
We are in a unique position to offer access to a wide variety of patient populations to aid in developing clinical expertise. We provide access to high quality clinical CPD, weekly clinical supervision and monthly clinical skills supervision to ensure your clinical skills development remains a priority.
As part of the clinical team, you would work remotely, providing Step 3 time-limited CBT to patients presenting with depression and anxiety disorders: whilst also attending in-person teaching at the University of Sussex.
This is a permanent role, moving to a qualified CBT position with Xyla on successful completion of the academic training course. It is expected that successful candidates would remain in the qualified CBT position for a minimum of two years.
Every day you will…
- Attend lectures, clinical skills sessions and supervision at the University of Sussex
- Provide time-limited CBT to Step 3 patients presenting with depression and anxiety
- Engage in clinical supervision and clinical skills supervision in-service.

To thrive in this role, you must have...
- A BABCP recognised Core Profession as outlined by the BABCP
OR
- An upper-second class (2:1) BSc undergraduate honors degree or above
- Evidence of completing the BABCP Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes (KSA) BABCP portfolio. The KSA portfolio needs to be completed prior to course start.
- All Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) without a Core Profession need to have two years post qualification experience prior to starting the course.
