Full Time Spalding, England 10.42 - 11.3 GBP HOURLY Today
Job description

In this position, you will assist with the horticultural operation across the site. You will be focused on pest and disease monitoring, irrigation, and crop husbandry. Crop spacing and stock management will also fall within your daily tasks. You will be working as part of a small team, ensuring your focus on producing and maintaining plants to the highest quality.

Able to work within a fast paced, highly pressurised horticultural environment, you’ll have knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload while complying with Company policies and procedures.

This business strives to offer the best product for its customers so a passion for horticulture and growing high-quality crops is essential. You will have previously worked in a commercial nursery environment and be confident in all aspects of crop growth. PA1 and PA6 are desirable, and you will ideally have or be aiming for a qualification in horticulture. Previous experience as a horticultural grower would be advantageous although not essential.

The role will operate across a number of shifts with a weekend working rota in place during our peak season March to July.

Who we are

Trading since 2011, we’re a very successful, fast-growing horticultural business with offices based in Market Deeping and an 11-acre nursery near Spalding. We work with global brands as well as supplying consumers directly, via offline and online marketing channels. We firmly believe that Gardening is for everyone! That's right; you do not even need a garden to get growing. Many of our plants can be grown on balconies, small patios and decking, so you can catch the growing bug, and even grow your own freshest fruit and vegetables too.

We speak in plain English. Sometimes gardening can be a confusing maze of Latin names and strange words and can be confusing or off-putting - we simplify all and remove all the jargon and give you down to earth advice on what to grow – and how!
