WHAT YOULL DO As a key member of our development team, you will spearhead the creation and maintenance of innovative applications and integration solutions for our cutting-edge R&D. This will include: - Creation of innovative and bespoke applications to streamline and automate data extraction for clinical research- Specialize in the development and deployment of microservices to support clinical research- Lead and direct the software engineering lifecycle, collaborating with data analysts, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to elicit and analyse requirements producing tailored solutions that best meet their specifications.- Lead in the development of packages and libraries to enable robust reproducible analytical pipelines to automate data extraction as well as statistical and analytical processes- Contribute to the development of solutions to improve the efficiency and productivity of the team- Contribute to the development and deployment of a research database WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR The following skills and experience are required for this post: - Degree in a related study plus demonstrable practical experience or considerable proven practical experience including at senior/specialist level to masters level or equivalent- Proficient programmer preferably using Python as well as strong SQL skills- Comfortable with the deployment of microservices using Docker and Kubernetes- Experience in the management of Linux and Windows servers- Good understanding and working knowledge of networking technologies.- Ability to solve complex technical problems and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.- Project management and implementation experience- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
