Trainee/Graduate Contracts Manager Luton, East of England, England
Job description
Our company is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Graduate/Apprentice Contract Managers, based locally to Luton, Bedfordshire. The postholder will work closely with the company director, managing pre-construction set up, programming, delivery, and commercial performance of a variety of construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are working efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities will include:
Plan, organise, control construction projects from pre-construction through to project close out while ensuring adherence to design specification, programme, and budgeted allowances.
- Attend pre-contract handover meetings with estimating/sales department to review/discuss proposed allowances/outputs & attendances.
- Liaise with subcontractor's to ensure that all facilities and agreed attendances are provided to facilitate the smooth delivery of every contract.
- Monitor the construction programmes with the director and monitor progress against agreed targets.
- Coordinate and manage setting out Engineers and subcontractors.
- Carry out pre pour checks to ensure accuracy and conformance to specification.
- Prepare site-specific safety plans and establish safe systems of work incorporating method statements.
- Ensure all sites are established in accordance with H&S legislation and internal guidance. Carry out safety inspections and audits.
- Manage commercial change orders (VO’s) and claims related to the contracts under your management.
- Coordinate and track material and plant usage and provision and working hours.
- IT literate.
- Ability to use your initiative.
- Very organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
Training for the right candidate, to achieve further education, will be provided, for membership into the CIOB.
The candidate must have a clean driving licence as company vehicles will be provided.

Salary: £19,102.16-£24,000.00 per year
