The Role
You will guide a team of software engineers in enhancing quantitative and systematic features of our portfolio construction system. As the product owner you are the gatekeeper of the team’s mission and strategy and prioritize the product feature backlog to deliver value. You will enable team members to innovate and experiment while balancing the risk and reward of those efforts.
This position can be located in Boston MA or Merrimack NH.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Experience building quantitative portfolio construction tools.
- Experience using optimizers/solvers to speed up portfolio decision making and execution.
- Strong aptitude for investment finance, statistics, risk and associated concepts.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining software products and solutions.
- Leadership qualities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity with a history of mentoring and coaching.
- SQL, scripting and data analysis experience.
- CFA charter holder preferred.
- Experience with fixed income, alternative credit products, leveraged loans, direct lending, distressed debt, high yield bonds, ETFs or listed and bilateral swaps a plus.
The Team
The High Income and Alternatives Technology team develops the proprietary internal software systems used to manage over $100 Billion in investments across High Yield, Emerging Market, Syndicated Loans, Direct Lending, Real Estate and other alternative credit markets. As a significant growth market for Fidelity we have over 70 software developers developing the portfolio construction, risk and trading solutions that will help us out-perform our competitors in these interesting and challenging markets.
