As a Trainee Financial Accountant, you will engage in your love of detail and data whilst building essential commerce and accounting skills to support the Finance team with external reporting, controls and management accounting analysis.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of external, statutory financial reporting under IFRS and the annual production of JE’s Annual Report & Accounts, and half year reporting
- Support the production and analysis of the monthly management reporting
- Complete monthly balance sheet controls, investigate and correct reconciling differences
- Assist in the completion of the audit
- Support in preparation of computations and returns for GST and Corporate Tax
- Support the business and finance on queries with their results
- As part of trainee contract, working across a range of finance activities is essential for development. Commitment to complete training and other courses/on the job training is required
- Support finance with analysis, developing knowledge and skills in the use of the technology that JE is investing in
- Support the business and finance team on its digital transformation journey, embracing new systems changes and carrying out testing as necessary pre and post Go Live
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Trainee Accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Ideally a Graduate level of education (BSc, BA or equivalent NVQ Level 5)
- Desire to gain professional accounting qualifications, e.g. ACA / ACCA
- A desire and commitment to develop career in Finance in a commercial environment.
- Confident in Excel. Power BI experience is a benefit (alternatively willingness to learn this is essential)
