Trainee Finance Assistant – Corston Architectural Detail – www.corston.com
At Corston we make home renovation projects a little easier. The tactile parts of a home that you interact with everyday are really important, so we think they should be done right. This attention to detail means that handles will match switches, and hinges will match hooks; essentially, our products will all work together.
The role responsibilities:
Financial administration tasks to support the accounts team. Including:
- Recording purchase invoices in the accounting software, ensuring that all costs are correctly allocated.
- Assist with the maintenance of the purchase ledger, including keeping it complete and up to date.
- Assist with maintenance of the company bank accounts.
- Assist with maintenance of the sales ledger.
- Work to reporting deadlines as part of the team.
Keep all paperwork and computer systems very tidy and updated.
Administration work required to maintain a paperless system.
Assist with ongoing work to improve and streamline systems and procedures as the company grows, specifically within the software systems.
Greeting visitors and answering calls.
Ideally you will bring to us:
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a friendly team.
- Care and attention to detail in your work.
- An enthusiastic approach to being trained in basic bookkeeping and the use of cloud based accounting systems.
- An ability to work with confidential information.
Additional Information:
Please note this is an office-based role. It is essential that you have some form of transportation to get to the place of business. Please do not apply if you do not have access to your own source of transport as our office location is not accessible via public transport.
