Apprenticeship summary
Purchase Ledger –
Code up purchase invoices and expenses and post to purchase ledger, ensuring adequate authorisation.
Matching invoices with POs as required.
Liaise with suppliers regarding any queries.
Posting cash receipts and payments, as well as cash allocation on both sales and purchase ledger.
Propose purchase ledger payment runs and agree schedule of payments.
Reconciling balance due on the accounting system to statements received from suppliers.
Reconciliations on bank accounts, as well as some other balance sheet accounts, including purchase and sales ledger control.
Run full month-end procedures on ledgers.
Entry of PO related invoices for all companies.
Ensure complete adherence to the invoice metrics logging process.
Processing of subcontractors, including verifying with HMRC, coding and costing of timesheets, applying necessary deductions and inputting onto costing sheets for analysis.
Monthly reconciliations for the submission to HMRC. Assisting in the maintenance of the Sales Ledger –
Emailing sales invoices to customers
Uploading sales invoices onto customer systems
Uploading sales invoices to bank
Entering and allocating receipts from customers onto financial software
Reconciling balance statements Bank accounts –
Reconciling all bank accounts
Control of Petty Cash
