Overall responsibilities of role -
As a trainee you are a key interface between landlords and tenants and will be responsible for building and maintaining our property portfolio as well as matching tenants’ requirements to available properties. You will establish and maintain relationships with clients and be responsible for negotiating terms of business within company parameters, overseeing the management of tenancies through to completion and move in.
Main duties -
- To always promote Charles Henry Peppiatt in a professional manner
- To follow up on enquiries from prospective tenants and landlords
- To canvass for new business and negotiate terms with perspective clients and applicants ensuring margins are met
- To arrange and attend valuations and viewings of properties
- To market properties to maximum effect, including taking and manipulating photos / writing descriptions / arranging floor plans etc
- To meet and exceed targets set
- To ensure all deals are in accordance with company procedures, including ensuring clients are qualified in accordance with legal requirements
- Any other duties as reasonably requested
Person specification (essential and desirable) -
- Qualifications - GCSE Maths and English at grade C / level 4 or above (or equivalent)
Skills -
- Exceptional negotiator skills
- Commercial awareness is essential
- Able to work independently but also as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build immediate rapport is essential
- Ability to communicate clearly on the phone and in writing
- Resilience
- Attention to detail
- Positive approach to all tasks is essential
- Highly motivated
- Customer focused approach at all times
Other requirements -
- Eligibility too work in the UK
- Flexible approach to working hours, including ability to work in the evening to arrange viewings if necessary
- Full, valid UK or EU driver’s license
- Must have own car for use
