Rise are excited to be expanding our successful Mental Health Support Teams offer in the Coventry, Nuneaton and Bedworth areas. We are recruiting 12 trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP). You would complete a 12 month undergraduate or post graduate diploma in Education Mental Health Practitioner practitioner at the university of Northampton. Once you have successfully completed your studies and qualify as an EMHP you will move to a substantive role as a Band 5 EMHP within the Rise service.
As a trainee EMHP, you will be expected to work under supervision as part of a well established, dynamic mental health and wellbeing team in a creative and supportive environment. You will be delivering evidence-based interventions and Whole School Approach to specific identified schools. Your new ideas around how we work creatively while supporting children, young people and their families is actively encouraged.
During you training year-the post holder will, under well structured supervision, develop knowledge and practice Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based skills to employ a range of evidence based interventions for common mental health problems through direct and group support for children, young people and their parents/carers in line with university expectations.
You will prepared to work at undergraduate diploma level and educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
