Trainee Driver
Hours - Monday to Friday 4.01am start 48 hours per week averaged over 17/18 weeks
Salary - £23,000 per annum

Purpose of Job
To learn and assist the driver in the delivery of goods to customers premises as per the pre-set schedule, to learn all aspects of the role carrying including vehicles checks, picking and checking all goods from the freezer, chiller, or ambient compartments of the vehicle, using a POD & collecting payments together with any other additional duties, which may be required to ensure the efficiency of the business.
Main Duties
- Assist the driver with deliveries in the order determined by the transport Team.
- Learn the role of an HGV Driver.
- Assist the driver in unloading the vehicle.
- Assist the driver with checking the correct quantities are delivered for each order and the POD is completed in full.
- Assist the driver with ensuring all empty pallets are to be taken off the vehicle and placed in designated area within the warehouse, all plastic and cardboard is to be placed in the recycling baler within the warehouse.
- Ensure the vehicle is cleaned out at the end of the shift.
- To make deliveries in the company van when required.
- You may also be required to undertake other duties which are deemed to be within the business needs.

- Car Driving Licence (manual)
