Trainee Driller SOCOTEC, Coventry
To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our 270 strong Geotechnical Team SOCOTEC is the UK’s market leading provider of site investigation, ranking 6th in the Ground Engineering top 100 Geotechnical companies for 2021. You will be working in a team of two (including yourself) and due to the location of the other team member, we are accepting applications from candidates with commutable distance of Coventry or from the North East of England.

You must be:
- Willing to travel to work anywhere in the UK
- Willing to stay away from home through the working week
- Fit and able to perform manual tasks
- Willing to learn
No formal qualifications are necessary, as all on-job training will be provided. Your challenge will include assisting the Lead Driller to:
- Drill boreholes and reinstate the ground
- Undertake any other site related activity as appropriate
- Adhere to all SOCOTEC and site specific Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies
- Work towards personal and vocational qualifications where appropriate
We’re looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with ability to work as part of a team. Communicative & organised, you must also:
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence with licence to tow desirable
- CSCS card (desirable)
- Mobility, flexibility and commitment
- Enthusiasm & sense of humour
