
Trainee Customer Manager - Field-based London, England
Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Trainee Customer Manager to join a large, motivated Sales team, working out in the field for an amazing FMCG brand!
The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing and growing customer accounts within their designated territory (London & the South East). Your day to day role will be to visit customers across your region and build long lasting relationships and increase sales for the company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is currently working in Sales or even Customer Service who wants to take the next step in their Sales career, as full training will be given for the right person!
Responsibilities:
*Visiting existing customers at their stores, building the relationship and maximising sales opportunities wherever possible
*Achievement of sales targets and initiatives, in line with the company strategy
*Implementation of trading displays and concept agreements
*Negotiating product range, price, volume & display space on visits
*Carry out tactical sales work to support initiatives and grow your accounts
*Accurately forecast & manage a sales promotional fund on your designated territory
*Identify, evaluate, record and capitalize on new business opportunities
*Assist in the production and development of a retail portfolio, driven by both the Cash & Carry & wholesale customer base
*Present promotional plans, sales drives and sales strategies as required
*Conduct a minimum of five C&C/Wholesale/Retail calls per day (VISITS)
Skills/Abilities required:
*Some experience of Sales, Account Management or Customer Service (at least 1 year preferred)
*Confident, out-going personality
*Able to deal with customers face to face and spot opportunities
*Good listening skills
*Great attention to detail
*The desire to build relationships
*Happy to work to Sales targets
*Able to work on your own initiative and comfortable to be out on the road (you will have full support from the office)
*Full, clean Driving License with the ability to drive a manual car
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is currently working in either a Sales Executive, SDR, Retail Sales or even Customer Service role who has a sparky personality and wants to step up into a field-based, customer facing account management position! The basic salary for this role is £32,500pa, with a 10% annual bonus (pushing the salary over the £40k mark!). You will be given a company car (Ford Kuga), pension, life assurance, monthly competitions with great prizes and the opportunity to attend lots of fun social events, all fully paid for.
