Vacancy: Trainee Control Engineer
Siemens's latest portfolio of control system devices ensures future sustainability for our customers, modernising digital initiatives including process bus, digital twin, and cyber security for the future.
You will successfully assist in delivering substation and power management control systems to our end-customers from various domains and disciplines.
Location: Hebburn, UK – Working flexibly, allowing you to work remotely for 2/3 days per week.
You’ll make a difference by:
As our Trainee Controls Engineer, you will be assisting and providing technical support to Control Engineers on the SCADA systems, control systems and automation systems applied on various UK industry and distribution networks. You will be given the opportunity to:
Understand customer technical specifications on allocated projects- Assist with the production/checking of functional design specifications
- Assist with the development and configuration of engineering control systems
- Assist with test documentation
- Assist with preFAT and FAT activities
- Provide SAT support when required
You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:
A minimum qualification of HNC/HND/ Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering- Good standard of IT literacy – especially Word and Excel
- A desire to learn and develop skills with various control system software’s, network topologies, cyber security, and communication protocols
