An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Commercial Lending Team for a permanent Trainee Commercial Relationship Manager to work in an agile way at either our Cardiff City Centre or Newport City Head Offices (and the option to work from home).

What will you be doing?*
As the Trainee Commercial Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for a number of things, including;
*
Building and preserving relationships with existing and potential clients within the Commercial lending market
*
Supporting the Commercial Lending Manager to deliver the strategic objectives of the commercial lending division and shadowing them when meeting clients
*
Increasing business by growing a professional network and presence within the local area
*
Supporting the Commercial Lending Associate with onboarding all information for KYC & KYB
*
Reviewing new deals prior to submission to the underwriting team, working with customers to ensure risks are highlighted and mitigated
*
Supporting the underwriting team in continued risk monitoring of the portfolio and shadowing them as they assess new deals
*
What type of person will you need to be?*
The ideal candidate will need to:
*
Hold a GCSE level Grade C or above including Maths and English or the equivalent
*
Hold a full driving licence
*
Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages
*
Be able to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
*
Have demonstrable experience of working in financial services, ideally within a lending environment
*
Be an excellent communicator, very organised and a creative thinker
*
Be able to work in an agile and flexible way within a fast paced environment
