This is an exciting opportunity to join our Motor Claims team based at our Colchester office as a Trainee Claims Handler within Our Motor Academy.
We will put you through a comprehensive training programme and support your ongoing development, focussing on your career aspirations with us. We are looking for fresh talent that can grow and develop within our business whilst supporting our clients along the way.
The purpose of this role is to find and develop technical claim handlers through our tailored made training programme in a controlled environment to support our department with the day to day needs of a motor claim provider.
Duties will include:
Handling a portfolio of claims proactively within the agreed authority level to deliver a high-quality claims service
Ensuring claims are correctly reserved and are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines
Processing valid claims ensuring the proper application of policy coverage.
Handling allocated internal tasks, such as: emails and diaries, ensuring that all tasks are dealt with within applicable time limits progressing the claim to a prompt settlement.
Liaising with our clients and third parties to provide the highest standard of customer service.
Taking incoming and outbound telephone calls from customers and third parties.
Skill & Experience:
Previous Insurance or customer service experience is desirable but not essential as full technical training will be given. Other Skills needed are as follows:
You must have a 'can do' attitude, a flexible approach, willing to learn and develop within the role.
Ability to work to daily targets and the ability to demonstrate that you are a team player.
Good organisational skills to prioritise task and duties.
Be digitally competent and able to embrace new upcoming technology
Excellent communication skills
Working hours: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday 8:30-17:00. You'll be expected to work in the office for the first 3 – 6 months and then working on a Hybrid basis with a split of office and home working.
Starting Salary of £20,500 with incremental increases linked to your development pathway.
