Trainee CAD Technician
MGF are currently seeking a Trainee CAD Technician to join a leading Temporary Works Design Department in Astley, Manchester.
Specialising in temporary works design, we have a dynamic team of over 35 Engineers/Technicians from a variety of backgrounds ensuring we have the experience and skills required to provide cost effective solutions. The role is ideally suited to someone who has recently qualified or currently undertaking engineering related qualifications. Working in the Design Department, you will report directly to the Senior CAD Technician.
You will have responsibility for:
- Providing CAD support to a busy team of Civil Engineers.
- Producing Integrated Design and Installation Drawings (IDID) in support of Engineers.
- Provide support to other internal functions.
The ideal candidates should possess:
- GCSE qualifications (min Level 4 / Grade C in Maths, English and Science).
- Be working towards or have obtained a BTEC or equivalent in Engineering.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages.
- A Good work ethic.
The following would also be desirable:
- Experience with Revit
- Experience with AutoCAD;
- Experience of groundworks or temporary works;
The successful candidate will follow a fully planned training programme in the use of MGF Products and Systems and may also be provided with the opportunity to be supported through an approved training scheme or qualification. The successful candidate will also be provided with full training in the use of both AutoCAD LT and Revit(3D).
