We are 3AD Create. A fast growing Video and Event production company based on the Chester/North Wales border.
With an ever expanding list of clients, we are looking to expand our team and on the hunt for a Trainee Audio Visual Technician.
We are keen to find someone with the right attitude and who is keen to get into the world of event and video production. We are looking for a long term team member who is looking to expand their skills, learn new things and grow with us.
Previous experience is not essential but desirable, however an interest in Audio mixing, Lighting operation, filming or video editing is a must.
We are particularly keen to hear from those with a familiarity with stage and event lighting.
Full training offered, we do not expect everyone to be a complete wizard at every discipline, but the ability to fill gaps where required.
General duties not limited to -
- Assistance with day to day business operation - preparing equipment and workspaces
- Setting up technical and scenic equipment for events and film shoots
- loading and unloading production vehicles
- assisting with operation for Video, Lighting and audio team members
- Warehousing duties - Keeping areas organised and tidy.
Essential criteria
- Interest in lighting, Video or audio disciplines
- Computer (Mac and PC) Savvy with the ability to use basic office programs
- Good communicator
- English-speaking
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience within either events or filming

- Full driving license
- familiarity with Avolite lighting consoles,
- familiarity with filming practices
- College education in Audio, Event, Video or stage production
Other information
This is not a 9-5 job, Events and filming can span many hours at all time of the day and week, we will endeavour to give as much notice on rota as possible and last minute changes will be discussed.
There maybe periods of time away from home, many of our contracts can involve nights away. Accommodation and food for these times will be provided.
