Trainee/Assistant Engineer England

This is a permanent, full-time position. Excellent rates of pay.
Basic Salary with average gross earnings for this role being £32,000 - £35,000.
22 days paid holiday (increases to 25 days with service) PLUS paid bank holidays. Workwear provided.
Ideally you will be based in the geographic area which includes Northampton, Kettering, Market Harborough.

Many Assistant Engineers undertake formal training to become Lead Engineers, so you should consider this as a long term employment opportunity.
We are a leading installer of commercial heating and cooling products. Our client base is nationwide and varied (offices, warehouse, production, manufacturing environments, retail etc).
We are looking for an assistant engineer who will work alongside a qualified Lead Engineer to undertake installation of our products at customers premises.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate they have a mechanical aptitude, perhaps having worked in construction, engineering or similar.
Our training programme for this position is based around the following timeframes:-
3-6 months - IPAF, PASMA, WORKING AT HEIGHT
6-12 months - FGAS (refrigerant safe handling)
15-24 months - Commercial GASSAFE via Managed Learning Programme
The role requires:-
- working long hours (often on the road for 6.00am) with average week being 50 hours
- happy to work away from home when required
- work is mostly Monday to Friday but occasional weekend work may be required
- a commitment to safe working practices
- the ability to listen and take instructions
- happy to work at height – use of tower scaffolds, scissor lifts etc. (training will be given as necessary)
